I was born in Santa Cruz, California.  Growing up in Ben Lomond, many of my neighbors rode dirt bikes.  I got to ride some, but not as much as I would have liked.  In my early 20’s I started building vintage street bikes.  That was enjoyable, but riding on the street (especially when I just had to rail past new GSXR’s on my vintage Norton or Ducati!) The consequences of a crash could have been very high! It was not until my late 20’s that I found my true passion, riding & racing dirt bikes!  I have tried other sports, but in my opinion, nothing else comes even close to the enjoyment moto brings!  It is always different (different soil conditions, track & trail conditions, weather, etc.) an incredible workout all in the beautiful outdoors!  The better your skills get, the more you enjoy it- it’s a true addiction, but a good one!  Riding becomes a major part of your life.  In fact, when you are injured, you’re counting the days until you can ride again.  When finances are less than ideal, you focus on ways to get back out there!  Off Road Riding and Racing is also an incredible family sport! How many sports can you name that every member of the family enjoys and enjoys together!?
