This last weekend was a dusty, hot and fun AMA D36 “Prime Time” Scramble race at Metcalf Park, San Jose Ca.  This event is put on the the “Timekeepers Club” in San Jose www.timekeepersmc.com  Thank you Timekeepers!

The Brumit Family swept the Vintage Class Podium and actually Overall Saturdays Race with Tyler Brumit Winning, Robert Brumit (Tyler’s Father), 2nd and followed up by  Uncle Mike Brumit in 3rd.  The Bumit family have been racing dirt bikes (and anything with wheels) well before the earth was discovered to be round.  The Bumit’s are specialists on the old vintage iron as they “surfed the dirt” in style on their way to total victory.  These Brumit Boys know how to get it done and look good doing it.  See for yourself below…

Tyler Brumit returned to Metcalf Park for the Sunday Sportsman Race and again was 1st in class and the top Sportsman racer of the day.  This made for an outstanding weekend of racing for The Whole Brumit Family.

Congratulations to Mike, Robert and especially Tyler!

Once last thing to report… in the Vet Expert Class in Sundays Main Event race Brad Rosbach finished 3rd right behind Bret Murdaugh who finished 2nd.  Very fine racing Brad and Brett!

On the Endurocross Front…

Our Own local Super Star, Cody Webb Wins Round 5 of the National Endurocross series

MEDFORD, Ore (October 13, 2014) With five rounds complete and three to go, Motorcycle Superstore / Bell Helmet’s Cody Webb is back in control of the GEICO EnduroCross series after his impressive win Saturday night in Salt Lake City, Utah. Webb entered the round in third place only one point behind co-leaders Taddy Balzusiak and Colton Halker. Taylor Robert was in fourth. After the Salt Lake round, Webb now leads the series by not only taking the win (25 points) but also by winning the evening’s hot laps for two extra points. When the dust settled and the logs and boulders were loaded back into the trucks, Factory Beta’s Webb lead Blazusiak 143 to 140 points while Haaker now holds down third place with 133 points.

Cody Webb – In his own words…
“Getting my second win of the season was awesome! It was our first time racing in Salt Lake City and it was a cool off-road based area. The track had super short lap times and looked very simple during the morning qualifiers. When water was thrown on the track, it changed everything because the track got super slick. My Beta 300RR hooked up perfectly with the Dunlop tires and I felt confident. I won my heat race and evening hot laps to gain two extra championship points. I rode smart and consistent in the main event and I just felt the flow on the course. I’m pretty happy to come out of the race with the championship lead heading into Everett next weekend.”
