Congratulations Kurt on your 2014 Championship Season.  You are the new 2014 District 36 A Senior class champion!  Enjoy the D36 awards banquet Saturday January 31st as you are “Crowned”. http://ama-d36.org/district-36-celebrates-60-year-anniversary/

Here are some of the 2014 season highlights:

–  Kurt Won six of the 2014 District 36 A senior XC races

–  Kurt also won the A Senior Expert class at 2014 Virginia City Grand Prix (even with a broken swing-arm that happened during the race, incredible that he could finish with it so badly broken…).

– Kurt finished 4th in the Vet Expert Class at the 2014  Sacramento National Endurocross Round

-on a side note Kurt is also now also racing the D36 Vintage class with his 1984 Yamaha YZ 250.  He has done a beautiful Restoration on it:

Paul Van Horsen is the 2014 D36 Senior Expert Cross Country Runner up.  The chase was on in 2014…

In PVH’s own words…”2014 started out as a fun year and turned into a race after Kurt and I did good at the first 2 rounds. Racing was tight all year as we both swapped positions on the podium. In the end I finished 2nd in the Sr. A class and 16th o/a”.

Congratulations to our new D36 Senior Expert XC champion Kurt Ashely.  Kurt appreciated having Paul Van Horsen “chewing” on his rear fender and keeping it real…  Here comes 2015!  Good Luck!

Cheers,
