Funky Chicken 2010 AMA National Hare Scramble – Sunday

The 5th round of the National Western Hare Scramble Series is complete as the Funky Chicken for 2010 is in the record books.  For those of you who have not been at this event you really are missing out on one of the best racing venues that exists.  If you like real single track in the woods, great elevation changes and grass tracks this is the race for you.  It was an epic 14.5 mile course that we only dream we could ride on in California…

Our Youth racer, Brandon Roberts took  2nd in the 85 class on Saturday.  Brandon battled for 1st and even led during the race but ended up 2nd.  Sean said he had a great race and looks forward to coming back.

Justin Bonita Rode the Pro class and took 10th over all.  Justin had a good race and we are all  so excited as he continues to impress and get his game on. Tyler Brumit was 4th in the 250 Expert Class, Josh Poggi was 9th in the 30+ Expert Class, Robert Brumit was 4th in the 40+ Expert Class, Kane Silverberg was 2nd in the 40+ Expert Class.

Our VIP award goes to Stevie Bonita (incidently he looks very sharp in his Bon Jovi boxers),  He pitted for ~15 riders and did an amazing job,  Sean Roberts was by Stevie’s side working hard to help take care of all the riders..  CKR thanks Stevie and Sean for all there help.  Couldn’t do it with out you…

With two rounds left to go the national point standing is as follows… Brandon Roberts is 2nd in the 85 Junior Class, Justin Bonita is 3rd in the Over All points, John Sicley is 2nd in the Open Expert Class, Tyler Brumit is 4th in the 250 Expert Class, Josh Poggi is 12th in the 30+ Expert Class, Kane Silverberg is the current points leader in the 40+ Expert class
